Our Programs

Today’s youth are our future. Connections’ service model is based on the belief that our communities will become stronger when youth grow up secure in their sense of self and empowered with the knowledge to make healthy choices. By working together with families, schools, and local organizations, Connections’ programs are designed to reach youth both through early intervention — our youth prevention and community counseling programs — and to act as a safety net, providing residential care when a child’s home is not a safe environment for them.

Youth Residential Care

Short- and long-term care for children in foster care and life-skill development for youth preparing to age out of foster care, as well as shelter for youth up to age 18 who have run away or are experiencing homelessness and young adults 18-22 at risk of homelessness.

Community Counseling

Low- and no-cost, strengths-based individual, group, and family counseling for youth and adults. Connections’ licensed professional counselors and clinical interns support a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.

Youth Prevention Program

Preparing school-aged youth to meet life’s challenges as they approach adulthood by working with communities to engage youth in positive activities and evidence-based curriculum that develop life skills in an effort to prevent substance use and promote healthy behaviors.
