Programs & Services
A short-term home for youth aged 5-17 who are in foster care, who have run away, or who are experiencing homelessness. A youth's stay in the shelter can range from a single night to a few months, but the average stay is approximately 50 days. The shelter serves about 150 youth each year.

A home for older youth (aged 15-22) who are are preparing to exit foster care. On average, youth remain at TLP for 12 months, and the program serves approximately 30 youth annually.

Using a combination of curriculum education through the Positive Action and Curriculum-Based Support Group program, Positive Alternatives, and presentations designed to create awareness and knowledge of the State’s four prevention strategies, Connections' staff engage with youth in a fun, active manner while also delivering valuable, lasting messages.

Connections provides short-term, strengths-based counseling services at no cost to families with children 6 to 17 years old. Clients typically receive an average of 25-30 sessions over 6-month period.
