Young people often struggle with family conflict, social uncertainty, school and peer problems, depression, anxiety, anger, or even emerging mental health issues. Our counseling program allows youth and families to strengthen coping mechanisms, decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills while working closely with trained counselors in a comfortable, confidential setting that can include the counselor’s office, a school, church, or in the home. Most programs are available at no or minimal cost to families. Counselors are available to children, families, adults, and couples (within our 17-county service area) to help address social and personal issues including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Anger Management
  • Bullying
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Separation/Divorce Recovery
  • Family Communication
  • Peer Pressure
  • School Issues
  • Self Esteem
  • Situational Adjustment
  • Social Interaction
  • Stress Management
  • Truancy Intervention

Services Include:

  • Crisis Intervention
  • Individual Counseling
  • Group Counseling
  • Support Groups
  • Short-Term Respite Care
  • Community Referrals

* Program is an initiative of STAR (Services To At Risk youth) which is funded by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as well as other foundational giving.
